Booking and Briefing
How do I start a project with Digadiorcollective?
The process begins with a detailed enquiry via our contact form. Once we receive your request, we will respond within 24 hours to schedule an initial consultation. During this phase, we define the project scope, creative direction, and specific deliverables. After the briefing, we provide a formal quote based on our current service rates. Once the quote is accepted and the deposit is paid, we move into the pre-production phase, including scripting and scheduling.
What is the required deposit to secure a shooting date?
To confirm your booking and secure the studio or crew for your specific dates, we require a deposit of 40% of the total project value. This ensures that the necessary equipment and personnel are allocated exclusively to your production. The remaining balance is settled according to the payment terms outlined in our Terms and Conditions.
Can I change the date of my shoot after booking?
We understand that business schedules can shift. We allow a free reschedule of your shooting date provided the request is made at least 3 days prior to the scheduled start. Requests made within this window may incur a rescheduling fee to cover lost studio time and crew allocation.
Do you provide scripts or do I need to provide one?
We offer both options. We can work from a script you provide, or our team can develop a professional script based on your brief. For those interested in our process, we recommend reading our guide on Corporate Video Scripting in One Day to see how we streamline the narrative phase.
What information do you need from me before we start?
A comprehensive brief is essential. We need to know the primary goal of the video, the target audience, the desired length, any mandatory brand guidelines, and examples of styles you admire. For studio shoots, we also need a list of participants and any specific props or wardrobe requirements.
Production and Studio
What equipment do you use for filming?
We utilise cinema-grade 4K cameras to ensure the highest visual fidelity. Our lighting setup consists of professional ARRI lighting systems, and we use industry-standard professional sound gear to ensure crystal-clear audio, which is often the most critical part of a corporate or interview video.
Tell me about your studio facilities in Melbourne.
Our studio covers 85 m² and is designed for versatility. We feature a full white cyclorama for a clean, high-end commercial look and a professional green screen for projects requiring custom backgrounds or visual effects. The space is fully equipped with our cinema lighting and sound arrays.
Do you offer drone or aerial cinematography?
No, we do not offer aerial drone photography or cinematography. We focus exclusively on ground-based cinema production to ensure the highest quality of art direction and technical execution within our specialised equipment set.
Who will be on the set during the shoot?
Depending on the project scale, our crew size typically consists of 3 specialists. This usually includes a cinematographer, a sound engineer, and a production coordinator/director to ensure the shoot remains on schedule and meets all creative requirements.
Can we shoot at our own office or a different location?
Yes, we provide on-location filming. However, please note that the client is responsible for securing all necessary location permits and permissions. For more information on this process, please see our guide on On-Location Shooting: Permits and Consents.
Editing and Revisions
How many rounds of edits are included in the price?
Our standard production packages include 2 rounds of edits. The first round is for general structure and content flow; the second round is for fine-tuning details, text overlays, and colour adjustments. Any additional revisions beyond these two rounds will be billed as extra post-production hours.
When will I see the first version of my video?
We aim for efficiency without compromising quality. You will receive the first draft (rough cut) for review within 7 business days following the completion of the shoot. This allows us to organise the footage and establish the primary narrative flow.
What is the total time until the final delivery?
Our average delivery time is 14 business days. This timeline includes the initial edit, your feedback rounds, and the final colour grading and audio mastering. Complex projects with extensive graphics may require additional time, which will be agreed upon during the briefing.
Do you provide colour grading for external footage?
Yes, we offer professional editing and colour grading as a standalone service. We can take your existing raw material and apply a cinematic grade to ensure visual consistency. This is billed per post-production hour. See our Editing & Colour Grading page for details.
Can I request a specific aspect ratio for social media?
Absolutely. We can deliver your video in 16:9 (widescreen), 9:16 (vertical), or 1:1 (square). If you are unsure which format is best for your platform, we suggest reading our guide on Optimal Formats for Social Media and Web.
Delivery and Rights
In what format will I receive the final files?
Final videos are delivered as high-quality MP4 files, which are compatible with all modern devices and platforms. Depending on your package, we also provide subtitles (SRT files) and a custom thumbnail image for your video upload.
Do I get the raw footage (rushes)?
Our standard packages include the finished edited films. Raw footage is not included by default as it contains unedited takes and technical errors. However, raw files can be provided upon request and separate agreement regarding storage and transfer fees.
How long do you keep my project files?
We maintain a secure archive of your final project and associated assets for 6 months after the final delivery. We recommend that clients download and back up their files immediately upon receipt.
Who owns the copyright to the final video?
Once the final invoice is paid in full, the usage rights for the finished video are transferred to the client. However, Digadiorcollective retains the right to use excerpts of the work in our professional portfolio and showreel unless a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is signed. Detailed terms are available in our Privacy Policy.
How is music licensed in the videos?
We use professional royalty-free music libraries for most projects. If you require a specific commercial track, the client is responsible for procuring the necessary sync licence. We can assist in the process, but the legal cost of the licence remains the client's responsibility.
Payments and Legal
How are your prices calculated?
Our prices are listed as inclusive of GST (10%) for transparency. We offer both per-project packages for brand films and hourly rates for studio sessions and post-production. A detailed breakdown of costs can be found in our Pricing Guide.
What are the payment terms for B2B clients?
For registered businesses (B2B), we offer a payment term of 14 days from the date of the final invoice. All other payments are due upon delivery of the final files. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for full details.
How do you handle personal data and privacy?
We take data protection seriously and comply with the Australian Privacy Principles. We only collect information necessary for project execution and billing. You can read the full details of how we manage your information in our Privacy Policy.
What happens if a person in the video wants their image removed?
We strongly advise all clients to obtain signed image release forms from everyone appearing in the video. If a person withdraws consent, the client is responsible for the cost of re-editing the video to remove that individual, billed at our standard post-production hourly rate.
Where is the legal jurisdiction for disputes?
All contracts and agreements are governed by the laws of the state of Victoria, Australia. Any legal disputes will be handled by the courts located in Melbourne.
