Studio Interview Session

High-fidelity talking head production in our Melbourne CBD studio, designed for corporate leaders, subject matter experts, and digital educators who require an impeccable visual and auditory presence.

A professional interview session taking place in a white cyclorama studio in Melbourne.

In an era of digital saturation, the authority of a brand is often conveyed through the clarity of its voice and the professionalism of its presentation. A studio interview is more than just a recorded conversation; it is a controlled environment where lighting, acoustics, and framing are engineered to remove distractions and place the absolute focus on the speaker. Whether you are recording a series of expert insights for a corporate website, a detailed testimonial, or educational modules for an online course, the technical execution defines the perceived value of the content.

At Digadiorcollective, we provide a dedicated production space in the heart of Melbourne, equipped with cinema-grade 4K cameras and ARRI lighting systems. Our studio is specifically designed to offer versatility, featuring both a full white cyclorama for a clean, modern aesthetic and a professional green screen for those requiring custom virtual backgrounds. By eliminating the unpredictability of on-location filming—such as ambient city noise or shifting natural light—we ensure that every minute of your session is productive and every frame is polished.

The Production Process

01

Pre-Production Briefing

We begin with a technical consultation to determine the visual style. We discuss the choice between the white cyclorama or green screen, the required framing (close-up or medium shot), and the overall mood of the lighting to align with your brand identity.

02

Studio Setup & Calibration

Before you arrive, our crew prepares the set. This includes positioning the 4K cinema cameras, configuring the ARRI lighting grid to eliminate harsh shadows, and testing the professional audio gear to ensure crystal-clear voice capture.

03

The Recording Session

Under the guidance of our producer, the interview is conducted. We manage the technical aspects—focus, exposure, and sound levels—allowing the speaker to focus entirely on their delivery and the conversation.

04

Data Management & Backup

Immediately following the session, all footage is backed up to secure storage. We verify the integrity of the recordings and prepare the files for the post-production phase, ensuring no data is lost.

Who is this service for?

Our studio sessions are tailored for professionals who cannot afford technical imperfections. This includes corporate executives filming annual reports or internal communications, where a polished image is non-negotiable. We also work extensively with online educators and course creators who need a consistent, distraction-free background for a series of instructional videos, ensuring that the students' attention remains on the lecturer.

Additionally, this service is ideal for B2B companies producing "Expert Series" content or podcasts that require a high-end visual component. If your goal is to establish thought leadership through a series of structured interviews, the controlled environment of our Melbourne studio provides the necessary precision to achieve a broadcast-quality result.

How the session works

Upon booking, you are allocated a specific time block in our studio. We operate on a strict hourly basis to maintain efficiency for all our clients. Once you enter the studio, our team handles the technical orchestration. If you are using the green screen, we will capture a calibration frame to ensure seamless keying during the editing process. If you prefer the white cyclorama, we adjust the lighting to create either a "pure white" infinite void or a soft, textured grey background.

The session is paced to allow for brief breaks and retakes. We recommend having a structured list of questions or a script ready, although our producer can help facilitate the flow of the conversation to ensure the answers are concise and impactful. The environment is kept professional and calm to reduce speaker anxiety and promote natural delivery.

What the client should prepare

To maximise the value of your studio hour, preparation is key. We advise clients to provide a final script or a detailed outline of the talking points at least 48 hours before the session. This allows us to anticipate any specific visual needs or B-roll requirements that might be needed to support the interview.

Regarding wardrobe, we recommend avoiding fine stripes or small patterns (which can cause "moiré" flickering on 4K sensors) and avoiding bright green clothing if the green screen is being used. Neutral tones typically work best. If the interview involves multiple guests, coordinating the colour palette of the attire helps maintain a cohesive visual style across the project.

Deliverables: What you receive

At the conclusion of the project, you receive high-resolution master files. The primary delivery is in MP4 format, optimised for the platforms where the video will be hosted. Depending on your requirements, we provide different aspect ratios: 16:9 for YouTube and corporate websites, 9:16 for mobile-first platforms, or 1:1 for social feeds.

The delivery includes the raw interview footage (upon agreement) and the edited final versions. We provide clean audio tracks, professionally levelled to remove background hiss and ensure voice consistency. If subtitles were requested, these are delivered as embedded files or separate SRT files for accessibility and SEO purposes.

Timeline and Delivery

Our studio operations are governed by a precise delivery schedule to ensure consistency. Once the recording session is complete, the first draft of the edited interview is typically delivered within 7 business days. This allows our lead editor and colourist to refine the pacing and ensure the skin tones are natural and consistent.

Following your review, we provide two rounds of revisions to fine-tune the cut. The final, polished version is delivered within 14 business days from the date of the initial shoot. This structured timeline ensures that quality control is maintained without rushing the creative process.

What is NOT included

It is important to note that the studio session fee covers the production time and equipment use. The following are not included in the base hourly rate: professional makeup artists, wardrobe stylists, or the procurement of external guests. While we provide the space and technical expertise, the coordination of talent is the client's responsibility.

Furthermore, complex 3D motion graphics or extensive custom animations are treated as separate post-production tasks. While basic lower-thirds (names and titles) are standard, high-end visual effects require a separate quote based on the complexity of the work. We also do not provide drone cinematography as part of our studio packages.

Pricing and GST

Our pricing is transparent and based on the actual production time spent in the studio. In accordance with Australian tax law, all prices are subject to a 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST). The "inc GST" price is the final amount payable by the client, while the "ex GST" price is provided for B2B accounting purposes where the client may be claiming a GST input tax credit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my own teleprompter script?

Yes, we can integrate your script into our teleprompter system. We ask that you send the final text in a Word or PDF format at least 24 hours before the session so we can format it for the correct reading speed and font size.

How many people can be in the frame at once?

Our studio is optimised for 1-3 people in a single frame. For larger groups, we recommend a different setup or multiple takes to ensure that lighting and audio remain consistent for every participant.

What happens if the interview runs over the booked time?

We strive to keep sessions on schedule. If the recording exceeds the booked hours, additional time will be billed at the standard hourly rate, subject to studio availability for the following slot.

Do you provide the final files on a hard drive?

Standard delivery is via a secure cloud download link. If you require the files on a physical hard drive, please provide the drive at the end of the session, and we will transfer the data for a nominal handling fee.
