Cinematic Music Video Production
Translating sonic energy into high-impact visual narratives. We provide Melbourne artists with the technical precision and creative direction needed to compete on a global stage.
The bridge between a great track and a successful release is the visual identity. In an era of rapid consumption, a music video is no longer just a promotional tool; it is the primary vehicle for storytelling, branding, and emotional connection. At Digadiorcollective, we specialise in creating music videos that do not simply mirror the lyrics but expand the atmosphere of the music, creating a symbiotic relationship between sound and image.
Based in Melbourne, our production approach combines cinema-grade equipment with a deep understanding of rhythm and pacing. Whether you are an emerging indie artist looking for a raw, authentic aesthetic or an established act requiring a high-concept cinematic production, we provide the infrastructure to bring your vision to life. Our studio's white cyclorama and green screen capabilities allow for total control over the environment, while our experience in location scouting ensures the perfect Melbourne backdrop for your narrative.
Our Production Process
Conceptualisation & Moodboarding
We start with a deep dive into your track. We analyse the BPM, the emotional arc, and your artistic goals to create a detailed moodboard and script, ensuring the visual rhythm aligns with the audio.
Pre-Production & Casting
Our team handles the logistics: securing location permits in Melbourne, casting performers, and designing the lighting plot. We ensure every detail is organised before the cameras roll.
The Principal Shoot
Using cinema-grade 4K cameras and ARRI lighting, we capture the performance and narrative scenes. We focus on dynamic movement and precise framing to capture the energy of the music.
Post-Production & Grading
The final magic happens in the edit. We synchronize the footage, apply professional colour grading to establish the mood, and deliver the final master in high-resolution formats.
Who is this service for?
Our music video services are tailored for a diverse range of auditory artists. Indie musicians who need a polished yet authentic look to build their brand; electronic producers requiring abstract, high-concept visuals; and singer-songwriters focusing on intimate, narrative-driven storytelling. We also work with record labels and management agencies that require a reliable production partner in Melbourne to execute a specific creative brief with technical precision.
How the production works
Every project begins with a consultation to determine the scale of the production. For smaller projects, we might utilise our 85 m² studio for a controlled, minimalist shoot. For larger productions, we move to external locations. We operate as a tight-knit crew of three specialists—director, cinematographer, and editor—which allows for agile decision-making and a cohesive creative vision throughout the entire pipeline. We don't just record a performance; we direct a visual experience.
What the client needs to prepare
To ensure a smooth production, we ask our clients to provide the final mastered version of the track (WAV format) and a lyric sheet. If you have a specific vision, any reference videos or a rough storyboard are highly encouraged. For location shoots, we need to know if you have specific venues in mind or if you require our scouting services. Finally, a clear understanding of your target platform (YouTube, Vevo, or social media teasers) helps us determine the optimal framing and aspect ratios during filming.
What you receive upon completion
Upon final approval, you will receive the master music video in MP4 format, optimised for high-definition playback (16:9). Depending on your package, we provide alternative crops for social media (9:16 and 1:1) to ensure your release is cohesive across all platforms. We also provide a high-resolution cover thumbnail for your video platform. While the final edited video is the standard deliverable, raw footage can be provided upon separate agreement and additional storage fees.
Timelines and Delivery
Quality cinema takes time. Following our business rules, we deliver a first draft (the "rough cut") within 7 business days of the shoot. This allows you to review the pacing and narrative flow. After two rounds of revisions, the final colour-graded version is delivered within 14 business days. We maintain an archive of your project's source files for 6 months, after which they are purged to make room for new productions.
What is NOT included
It is important to clarify that our production fee covers the technical and creative execution. It does not include the cost of hiring external professional actors, specialised wardrobe/costume design, or complex practical effects (such as pyrotechnics). Furthermore, we do not provide aerial drone cinematography. Additionally, while we can suggest music libraries, the cost of commercial music licences for third-party tracks or the payment of session musicians is the responsibility of the client.
Pricing and GST
Our pricing is transparent and structured to support artists at different stages of their career. All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD). In accordance with Australian law, we provide prices both including and excluding the Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 10%. For B2B clients, payment terms are 14 days from the date of the final invoice. A deposit of 40% is required to secure the production dates and initiate pre-production.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I own the rights to the final video?
Yes, once the final invoice is paid in full, the full usage rights for the finished music video are transferred to the client. However, Digadiorcollective retains the right to use excerpts of the work for our professional portfolio and promotional purposes.
What happens if I need to reschedule the shoot?
We understand that artistic schedules can change. We offer one free reschedule provided the request is made at least 3 business days before the scheduled shoot date. Changes made within this window may incur a rescheduling fee.
Can you help with the concept if I don't have a script?
Absolutely. Many of our artists come to us with only a song. Our conceptualisation phase is designed specifically to build a visual narrative from scratch based on the mood and lyrics of your music.
How do you handle music licensing?
For original music, the client provides the track. If the video uses third-party music or stock audio, the client is responsible for securing the necessary licences. We can guide you toward reputable stock libraries if needed.
